Gambling Oasis

Las Vegas

I wanted to see the sin city in person as my own mile marker since I had never been before. Im not much of a gambler and we didn’t get to see any shows but I did get to experience the night life and get a few images to play with and share. As a side note ;The more people, the more difficult the photograph seems to be. I suggest journeys to more remote locations, they have been more fun for us as photographers.

Willow Beach

Vista Point Over the Colorado River

Nearing the Hoover Dam is a little vista point to over look a recreational area off in the distance called Willow Beach. Of course to get this photo we trailed up to the edge of the cliff in oven like temperatures. It is always worth it to go a little beyond your comfort point to get the shot most people don’t even get to see.

Watered Down

Desert Rain Storms

So one of the photos on my list was to get a storm in the distance. When you have flat lands you can see the massive clouds and dense rain pouring down from far away. Near Tucson Arizona we came across a storm come in and one on the way out as well. It takes a luck and patience to get great storm photos. With the limited daylight and time this was what I got.

PSPHOTO; It is really exciting to see the lightning bolt strike as the shutter is open because you know you got the shot you were looking for.

The Beacon

San Xavier del Bac Mission

As we were driving into Tuscon Arizona we passed this beautiful church. You can see this from the highway and it was so bright against the storms in the background that we had to stop. These hidden treasures are what it is all about and not only for photos. The feeling and respect that was in this building was so powerful. I wish I could portray other aspects such as this in the photographs.

Desert Beauty

Arizonas Offerings

Not many people would consider the desert as anything but a harsh, vast, nothingness of land. When you start to sit in the shade, look around and take a moment to really notice the beauty that this land has to offer. Just be sure to have some water and shade, it won’t seem so evil.
