Jagged Cliffs

Big Sur

So this is the Pacific Ocean along the Big Sur cliffs. This was almost like living inside the postcards you see in stores. The colors were just as vibrant as you see here. I hardly had to do any processing for these oceanic photos.

PSPHOTO ; There was a beach down below, Limekiln, that we decided to stay at for a few hours. The water was too cold to get too far into it but getting the cool breeze from the water on the hot sand was something from the movies. This is still like a dream to me.

Camping Above the Clouds

Nacimiento in Lucia Mountains

So we had our night on this insane mountain to a campsite we found on “free campsites.net” – if you need to camp this is a site to visit and you might find a free one.

When we woke and started down the mountain to Big Sur, I saw clouds and it was like we were flying above the world. The photographs probably don’t explain the feeling from being up there so I recommend a visit.

PSPHOTO ; Here is a photo of someone who camped along the edge of the road. Talk about prime location!

Day Break

Took a Day Off

I wasn’t in my pro-mode today so you won’t see the greatest photos. I at least wanted to share the experience with you with the few quick pictures taken.
So we did the touristy things like a trolly hop to China town. The line for the trolly was incredibly long but very worth the day pass to keep off the feet. I was able to snag a few souvenirs while we were out as well. There are so many shops in San Francisco. We also went to Riply’s believe it or not, checked out some street art and talked with the artists, such as Victor Hsu, an amazing artist doing chalk work. We also visited the Hillard House from Mrs. Doubtfire and walked down the famous crooked street, Lombard street. Phew, what a day! Here are a few quick snippets for you.

Golden Night

Golden Gate Bridge During the Night

The next night of touring, we went to the west side of the bridge for more photos.
Even with the city lights, there are still a few stars glistening. The night time makes it feel more golden with the orange street lights. Simple “High Dynamic Range” Technique helped with that gold color.

PSPHOTO; This was a better view from up high since we were not covered in fog but you can see it in the distance making its way down to the city. It was too cold to stay there for the fog images we wanted to re-create, so this is where we end this journey and go on to the next one.
