Oh, Sweet Descent

Ear Popping Fun

To make our way out of the Mountains, we had to go through them and down them. We got a recommendation to go through Cottonwood Pass to get a great view from above. The air pressure is completely different than back home so it had its moments of pressurized misery. Once we got to the top, it was all worth it. Here is why ;

There were so many flowers blooming together as one. They made wonderful additions to give the photo even more color. They deserved to be added into the mix for your enjoyment!

Just One More Shot

Another Shot of Twin Lakes

This place is highly recommended. I couldnt get enough of these mountains over the lake and I didn’t get the chance to really spoil these mountains alone. Now I get to show you a few more photos ; one with more HDR technique and the post script photo is a panoramic.
The intensity of the hues and range was again hard to capture from the camera. I had to get some editing in the images to get a more accurate feeling of the location. You never know how small you can feel in this world until mother nature steps up her game like this.

Humble Mountains

Breath Taking

Our first actual stop is Twin Lakes, Colorado. I set up at a BLM campsite. You wouldn’t believe the altitude until you get an idea on how pic these Mountains are in person. Since I couldn’t bring you with me, here is a photo of the picnic area on the Lake. It is absolutely breath taking!

I also love the panoramas, so here is a circle of the mountains surrounding me.

Oh, Sweet Elevation

Quick stop in Denver

We were looking for a moment where we had a clear shot of the mountains silhouettes in the distance. We found one directly pass Denver as the sun was playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds during sunset. We were also trying to make time and get to our camp area before dark so this was a very quick stop. The colors in the sky and mountains were hard to portray in the photo so with a little help from the HDR technique, I was able to show off all those pretty colors and depth!

PSPHOTO – Travis was getting a few shots as well and I just can’t help but HDR the camera at work. I also wish I could bring some of this crisp fresh air home with me!

Pit-stop in Kansas

Just the Beginning

This first image of this trip is nearing the end of our 20 hour drive. We had a few light storms cover us in the fields near Colby, Kansas. I took the opportunity of the flat horizon and scattered clouds to get a circle panorama. These photos are a lot of fun once you find the quick tricks in photoshop.

And this, is just the beginning…

P.S.PHOTO – I also loved the sunbeams hitting the flowing grasslands…I just had to show that one off too!
