Golden Day

Golden Gate Bridge During the Day

Welcome to the main event of the week. The bridge was heck of a site. We stayed on the south side for these photos. It is a fairly long walk down to each vista point for the bridge and we weren’t sure exactly where to go or how to get there for the sunset photo.
This is the site that I saw from the top. I did a panoramic so you could see the scale of the bridge. You can also barely see Alcatraz to the right.

PSPHOTO ; We walked down to the fort to maybe get on the roof but it was closed. So we got down into the rocks. I wanted to get an image of the waves crashing but it was hard to time but out of the many shots taken here, this was my favored. The color may be a bit exaggerated but it was basically this clear and colorful. The colors are not added, just enhanced 🙂

Welcome to San Francisco

Fog City

I was lucky enough to have an awesome host / tour guide via family for the stay in San Francisco who drove us along the outskirts of the city up to a look out point. We have been to other look out points but this one was very interesting for a few different reasons. One, the city is huge! Being in the city, down on the roads, you don’t really notice how big this place is. Two, the fog is crawling down from the mountain lookout the same as Half Moon Beach. It was extremely breezing and honestly a little colder than planned. Lastly, this was the place to go for everyone. I heard so many different walks of life expressing the same awe of the look out point. So it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone is a kid at heart when it comes to awesome sites like this!

Half Moon

West Coast Beaches

First sites were along the local beaches. I recently got to see an east coast beach and now I got to experience a west coast beach. The only differences I noticed is the cliff rocks and the fog. The interesting thing is that all beaches, no matter which coast, have different sand textures. We don’t have a lot of sand around us in Louisville, so my legs got a work-out trying to walk along the beaches. It is very squishy.

PSPHOTO; One of the beaches had a ton of seagulls. I’ve never seen this many all at once just standing around so I thought I’d share that with you.

Vista Point

Just a Rest Stop

Traveling on to San Francisco there was a stop along highway 80 that said “vista point” so of course we had to see what kind of view it gave. It was just dark enough to get beautiful photos of the night sky. It is amazing what you can see at night with only the light pollution from the cars going by. I can’t wait to get more of these!

PSPHOTO ; Scorpious was high and bright taking over a quarter of the horizons sky. Since I am a Scorpio, I just had to nab this creature in the sky.
